Chet Atkins & trestle bracing

Like a true Gretsch instrument, this Country Gentleman is equipped with the renowned '59 trestle bracing to prevent feedback. Trestle bracing consists of wooden braces that are placed underneath to top to reduce unwanted vibration, hardly affecting the guitar's weight or the natural resonance of the instrument's body. More than 50 years after it was first invented, this type of bracing is still used for Gretsch's more exclusive models. The Gretsch G6122T-62GE Vintage Select Edition's neck is made of three plies of maple, and its ebony fretboard has a 12" radius and is fitted with 22 vintage-style frets. Both the neck and the bridge pickup are TV Jones humbuckers, which can be used in three different configurations. The master volume, the master tone and the volume of the two pickups can easily be adjusted.
